Bizao is a visual artist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up in Brooklyn during the 1980s, Bizao faced challenging circumstances, yet found solace in art from a young age. At just 8 years old, he began drawing as a way to escape his environment, creating original comic books featuring unique heroes and adventures. Over time, his medium evolved from pen and pencil to oil pastels, watercolor, oil paint, and acrylics, each transition reflecting his growing artistic ambition.

Early in his painting career, Bizao focused on realism, initially selling his artwork under the alias Anatnas Odnanref. 

Although becoming a full-time artist has always been his ultimate goal, the responsibilities of life did not allow for that, and so becoming a part-time artist was the only option available. While he appreciated the technical skill involved in realism, he found the genre too comfortable, too easily accepted. His desire for deeper emotional expression led him to shift toward abstract painting—a medium that allowed him to explore and express his most personal thoughts, memories, and emotions.

For Bizao, painting became more than just an art form—it was a journal, a diary in which each canvas captured the essence of his inner world. His abstract work is not random; every stroke, color, and shape is intentional, meticulously crafted to convey an emotional truth. What might seem like a chaotic collage to the viewer is, in fact, a carefully orchestrated exploration of his past and feelings. The titles of his paintings serve as the only clues to the stories within, inviting viewers to engage with the work on a personal level and search for their own meanings and connections.

Bizao’s technique sets him apart from other abstract artists.
